Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. She was the home of her mother and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick has always loved performing, dancing and performing puppet shows. Her rise to fame as a fairytale started when she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was six, which prompted a call from the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to be in show business. Her first major role came during 1964, when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. That year that followed, she appeared in a second commercial on television for Chatty Cathy's doll. The following year, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance for the role of the oldest of three towheaded daughters on the new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick said in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having lost her virginity during the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother.
