Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She was able to survive on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to help supplement her income. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different direction she would take. Lennox began her career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. She left the band before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she served as the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop group. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox started working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which came out in 1992. The album was a massive hit, both in terms of the sales as well as critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. This C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. She released her first solo album, which was released in conjunction with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, titled "Now I'll Let You Go." Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is a Scottish politician and singer. After a brief recognition as part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva featured a number of hit tracks, such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 has cover versions of songs like No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include seven studio albums by herself as well as a compilation.
